Welfare of the people is the objective and goal of socially conscientious human beings in accordance with a defined set of principles, values and methods. Collective achievement of these objectives is only possible through proper management and governance of the resources (human and natural) on a national and international level.

Whenever current governments are unable and unwilling to satisfactorily provide for the social welfare (basic needs fulfilment) for all of the people in a society, a new team of people and new political organisations are needed to achieve the wishes, desires and requirements of its citizens.

The Social Welfare Party (SWS) has been established to campaign, lobby and influence socio-political change by winning the hearts and minds of the masses, intelligentsia and stakeholders.

The objective of achieving socio-political transformation to create a social welfare state is a medium-long term process requiring involvement of all members of society in developing new policies and a new vision for socio-economic change. This work cannot be the exclusive remit of any particular individual or group but must be an all embracing inclusive outlook and vision.
